One says if you smoke not more than twice a month you should have pure urine within 3 days and another says no matter how much you smoke it could show up as late as 30 days. Another tip I've found useful in pulling off a credible dilution (usually at rudely short notice) is to advise the clinician when they ask if you've taken any medications/drugs that you have taken aspirin recently -like that day, as apparently aspirin dilutes the creatinine levels in urine. Even if they request another sample, it's hopefuly bought a bit more time. One more thing for the 'worriers' -don't smoke on the day & good dental hygeine (and maybe a bit of ice in your mouth just before) should see you pass a saliva test -wish they'd accept them as an Australian Standard!!
