Pot should be legal for no other reason than that it’s a personal choice that doesn’t affect anyone else. That said, there are actually a lot of other reasons why it should be legalized (and I’m not just talking about medical marijuana either). This guy has written about the best laid out argument for legalizing marijuana that I’ve seen in a long time. You’ve probably already heard most of the points he makes, but I like the way he lays it out, and some of the comments are really good too. Read it and memorize it for the next time you’re discussing marijuana legalization with a right-wing fear monger.
