So, yesterday the big news was that the White House sent a memo out to the attorneys general in all the states where it’s legal to use medical marijuana. You might be thinking that if you’re not sick it doesn’t affect you, but you’d be wrong. It’s a step in the right direction, and every baby-step counts, people!
Besides the estimated 28 million people in this country that smoke pot (legally and otherwise), there’s a growing number of Americans who are waking up to the fact that marijuana isn’t the dangerous drug that they’ve been brainwashed into believing. In fact, a slim majority of Americans now believe that alcohol is a more dangerous drug than weed. Think about that.
Ultimately, public opinion is what will eventually make marijuana legal. If more and more people (whether they’re users or not) are realizing that pot isn’t a dangerous drug, then it follows that eventually more and more people are going to get fed up with seeing their tax dollars spent on fighting a losing battle. Even the White House gets this, based on this passage from yesterday’s memo:
“…prosecution of individuals with cancer or other serious illnesses who use marijuana as part of a recommended treatment regimen consistent with applicable state law, or those caregivers in clear and unambiguous compliance with existing state law who provide such individuals with marijuana, is unlikely to be an efficient use of limited federal resources.”
In other words, the Obama administration thinks it’s a waste of federal dollars to fight medical marijuana – and it knows that most Americans think so too.
We should all let our government know that we support its decision regarding medical marijuana. Maybe it isn’t much, but it’s also one more way to let them know that the tide of public opinion in general is changing regarding marijuana laws.

hey my name is cleo i’m twenty-four yr’s old and i once upon a time smoked pot all the time, everyday, all day. however i am now clean and have been for some time now. Personally i don’t see what the big deal is about smokin pot to me drinking is alot worse. at least when i stressed i could alway’s smoke afat blunt and chill out after a long day at work now that i have chosen not to smoke any longer i stay stressed out all the time. I quit all for the simple fact that it was eithe loose my job or my weed of couse i chose my job because i have a son i need to provide for. Boy did i love my weed though. i have nothing against pot and i don’t think it should be ilegal. that some bs. let the pot be legal!!

I’m 16 yrs. old, a Junior in High School, and a A-B Student! I have smoked Pot for 6 yrs. and I haven’t suffered any medical problems what so ever in my Journey to spread the word of the ganja! I’m in a religion (one based on Christianity) where we believe that Weed is a holy substance. (Many verses in the Holy Bible clarify this! This Link should Help! http://www.equalrights4all.org/religious/bible.htm) I have been arrested on numerous occasions for smoking ganja and I’m sick of it. This government has me in a program (not really probation) where I go to a solicitors office every week, have a meeting with them, and they drug test me. I pass because i don’t smoke. It is killing me, and I need to know how to pass a drug test while still smoking with out getting caught. But back to the main reason for this comment! I think that the government will continue to keep marijuana Illegal for 1 reason! America has to many stuck up, rich, assholes in power to listen to us stoners! They think we are scum and deserve to rot in Prison! Also added if they do Legalize marijuana for all people, then they will have taxes for the product, which means the street price (which is usually $10 a gram for Mids) will go up due to the stuck up greedy government selling the product in gas stations and pharmacies for an extreme price around $40 a gram! and If you want the good shit then you gotta be a rich motha fucka! they will also say Minors can not smoke it, you can not drive or operate machinery while under the influence of marijuana a.k.a as HIGH, and you can not smoke in public. Therefore there will be many law added that will restrict the uses of marijuana which will become frustrating and will possibly cause it to be illegalized again! Option 2 to this cycle is that the country gets greedy, jacks the prices up on the product, people go to drastic measures to purchase the product (or steal it) and It either becomes illegalized once again or the nation will go into another depression!

Ive been out a job for a while.
I applied at a place Id say 4 months ago and recently got called out of the blue.
I was happy till they said ok now within 48 hrs take a drug test. I had smoked two in a half weeks prior to my piss date.

I am a pot smoker. Ive been married for 15 yrs. We both smoke. We are both educated people. We both hold sucessful careers. Pot doesn’t make you stupid, not to say people don’t sometimes make poor choices. But thats just life in general. I dislike the fact that we are discriminated against because of our choice. We are living proof that one can smoke and lead productive lives. Yet we are all classified as useless, lying, thieving, etc. I support the legalization of marijuana.
well, either way… im 16 i smoke weed and i have been arrested for it once and am on probation…and i think its the stupidest thing ever! because honestly alcohol is sooo much worse for you and weed hasnt effected me in a bad way besides getting arrested…honestly the government should give up this fight…stoners will win
